Strengthening Your Faith in Troubled Times
How do we deepen our faith in difficult times when we are having a hard time in normal circumstances? When things start coming at us from all sides, we can feel overwhelmed. When difficulties mount, we frequently discover that our faith begins to wane. Is it possible to bolster our faith through difficult times? Is it possible to have a rock-solid faith that never wavers?
Isaiah 43:1-3 Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord you God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.
It can be so easy to give into worry, fear and despair, but with Him we can find strength, and look forward to wonderful things.  He gives us hope!
Seek answers in scripture the Bible is God’s Word. God knows you need somewhere to go when you feel unsure, hurt, sad, depressed, lonely etc. That place is His Word. It is unchanging and completely trustworthy. The Bible records ways God has responded in difficult times in the past. It reminds you that He is trustworthy whatever your circumstances. Many people in Scripture even reference other parts of Scripture to encourage themselves and those around them.
The truth in scripture sets you free from burdens. It also liberates you from the situations that make you feel at your worst. It’s easier to be led into lies about your life and who God is, if you don’t turn to the Bible for truth at difficult times. Therefore, read your bible to be reminded that God will deliver you from your troubles.
Remember to pray God will be near you in your difficult times, He will offer comfort and wisdom, spend much time in prayer it will be like good medicine to the  soul as you heal and your faith is maintained and strengthened in God .
